The training of scientific and scientific-pedagogical personnel at Osh Technological University is conducted through postgraduate studies. The graduate school of OshTU in its activities is guided by the Regulation “On the training of scientific, pedagogical and scientific personnel in the Kyrgyz Republic” (approved by the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic dated July 16, 2018 No. 327), as well as the Charter of OshTU and other internal legal documents of the university. Together with the departments of the University, the graduate school of OshTU today trains personnel in 26 specialties in accordance with the Nomenclature of specialties of researchers of the Kyrgyz Republic (VAKKR Ave., No.8-4/10, dated 25.11.2010).

The postgraduate course of the Osh Technological University named after academician M.M. Adyshev was opened in 1993 (prUS No. 1 of 29.09.93).
Postgraduate studies are carried out in full-time and part-time forms.The duration of full-time postgraduate study is 3 years, by correspondence -4 years.
The postgraduate course was opened in one specialty 08.00.05 Economics and Management of the national economy.
In subsequent years, new specialties were opened, and the number of graduate students and applicants increased.The first graduate students of OshTU were:Doctor of Technical Sciences, prof. Abidov A. So, if in 1996 the number of graduate students of OshTU was 35 people, then from the day of the opening of the graduate school, the number of students in the graduate school is 643 people. Today, 54 people are studying at the postgraduate school, 17 of them are full-time, 37 are part-time.
From 1996-2022, 187 dissertations were defended by graduate students and applicants of OSHTU, of which: doctoral-23, candidate-164.
Graduates of postgraduate studies who have defended their doctoral and PhD theses continue to work successfully at the university itself. These are: N.T.Tanakov, A.Ashirbaeva, A.K.Atabekov, Zh.A.Kedeybaeva, N.Tashiev, U.T.Attokurov, M.D., Shabdanov, M.K.Aldashev, M.Zh.Abdiev, D.A.Zhorokulov, Y.K.Amatov, R.Ydyrysov, Z.A.Teshebaeva, etc.
The scientific management of the work of graduate students and applicants is carried out by highly qualified employees of Osh Technological University, as well as doctors and candidates of sciences from other universities and research institutes.
The scientific supervisors of postgraduates approve doctors of sciences in the relevant specialty or related specialty.

The Department of Postgraduate Studies of the OshTU supervises the implementation of the individual curriculum of graduate students, organizes training and conducts examinations of candidate examinations in a foreign language, as well as in the history and philosophy of science.
