The College of Humanities and Technology was established by the order of the Rector of OshTU No. 09-04/140 dated April 22, 2004 and is a structural unit of OshTU.
The mission of the college is “To train competitive specialists for the branches of the national economy who have a high level of theoretical and practical skills, possess high personal qualities, and are able to increase the level of production potential and the economy of the Kyrgyz Republic.”
The structure of the SCC OshTU
Based on the decision of the Commission on optimization of the structural divisions of OshTU, taking into account the information of the commission on optimization of the College of Humanities and Technology of OshTU and its structural divisions and academic part, the Regulation on the College of Humanities and Technology of OshTU dated November 28, 2019 (approved by Protocol No. 3 of the Scientist dated November 28, 2019) was revised and the version adapted to the latest regulatory-legal acts (the Law of the Kyrgyz Republic “On Education”, regulations on secondary vocational educational institutions, etc.) were submitted for discussion by the college staff, reviewed by the Academic Council, re-approved. According to this, from the academic year 2024-2025, two new departments have been created within the College of Humanities and Technology – Engineering and Humanities, Pedagogical and IT Technologies; and one center — the Center for Social and Natural Sciences.
Also, in accordance with the Regulations on organizations of secondary vocational education of the Kyrgyz Republic, the departments of the College of Humanities and Technology were transformed into subject-cycle associations (CCOs), new ones were formed and approved as part of the departments and the center in the following order:
