On February 25, 2026, Osh Technological University hosted a seminar entitled “Needs Analysis in the Education Sector” within the framework of the Erasmus+ CBHE DIGITECH project. The main purpose of the event was to identify the current needs of the education sector in the context of digitalization and to discuss the modernization of curricula in line with international requirements.
The seminar was attended by the university management, institute directors, heads of academic programs, heads of departments, faculty members, employers, and students.
The event was opened by Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs of Osh Technological University, Professor U.Zh. Mamytov. In his speech, he emphasized the importance of implementing the University 4.0 concept in the modern higher education system, as well as the need to develop dual education within the learning process. He noted that, under current conditions, higher education institutions should move toward a new model integrating education, science, innovation, and industry.
During the seminar, the DIGITECH Project Coordinator, Professor U.T. Attokurov of Osh Technological University, delivered a detailed presentation on the main objectives of the project, the plans for upcoming activities, and the expected outcomes. Particular attention was paid to the modernization of educational programs, the strengthening of competencies related to digital technologies and artificial intelligence, and the integration of international experience into the educational process.
In addition, Associate Professor Zh.I. Mambetov presented and analyzed the results of surveys conducted among teachers and students. His presentation highlighted the main educational needs of students, their interest in particular subjects and competencies, and their suggestions for improving curricula. Special emphasis was placed on the strong interest in such fields as artificial intelligence, programming, data analysis, cybersecurity, and digital technologies.
At the end of the event, employers and participants shared their suggestions and recommendations. As a result, joint decisions were adopted aimed at improving the quality of education, aligning curricula with labor market requirements, and strengthening practice-oriented learning.
This seminar became one of the important steps toward the modernization of educational programs, digital transformation, and the development of the university in accordance with international standards.
