Osh Technological University hosted an academic and educational forum titled “Accessible Environment: Inclusivity and Equal Opportunities in the Kyrgyz Republic.” The event was opened by Ulukbek Mamytov, Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs, who highlighted the importance of developing an inclusive educational environment and establishing accessible infrastructure. He also emphasized ongoing university initiatives, social projects, and efforts aimed at increasing students’ social responsibility.
The forum brought together representatives from ministries, the city mayor’s office, the Department of Education, and the Regional Department of Architecture. Scholars from local and international universities delivered presentations in both online and offline formats. Civil society organizations and charitable foundations discussed mechanisms for fostering an inclusive society.
During the plenary session, participants presented reports on the legal foundations of inclusivity, social adaptation, barrier-free environments, digital accessibility, and national development trends in promoting equal opportunities.
As part of the forum, a student competition titled “Inclusive Society: Accessibility Without Borders” was held. Student teams presented their ideas and solutions through presentations, thematic quizzes, and project proposals. At the end of the event, participants received certificates and awards.
The forum was recognized as an important platform for promoting new ideas, enhancing student engagement, and advancing efforts toward a more inclusive and accessible society.
The event was organized by the Departments of International Relations, Law and Education, Business Administration, and Social Work.
