- The Department of Information Technology and Management (ITM) is a specialized technical department that trains specialists in the following areas
- 710200 Information Systems and Technologies in Economics,
- 700500 Mechatronics and Robotics.
- The mission of the department is to train highly qualified IT specialists and high-level IT personnel capable of analyzing, modeling, and solving IT problems for various areas of the economy related to the development of information systems that require modern technical, mathematical, and software tools and new information technologies for their solution.
- Goals and objectives of the ITU department
- The goal of the Information Technology and Management Department is to improve the quality of education through the use of new educational information technologies, new knowledge and achievements in science and technology, new modern principles of the educational process, and IT personnel potential. It consists of the following tasks:
- Improving curricula, work plans, work programs, teaching materials, and syllabi, taking into account new modern IT;
- Developing teaching and methodological complexes, methodological developments and guidelines, lectures, practical classes, and especially laboratory work based on new IT achievements;
- Developing and coordinating the department’s research work in the field of IT with the participation of teachers, masters, and postgraduate students of the departments;
- Involving highly qualified specialists and IT workers in the educational and scientific process to raise it to a new modern level;
- Raise all types of student and master’s internships to a high level and use new agreements with IT companies, firms, and organizations not only in cities in our republic, but also in leading cities in foreign countries;
- Raise the level of coursework and thesis projects and use new scientific achievements in IT, design, and technological achievements in IT;
- To involve experienced, competent, highly qualified managers and IT specialists in the supervision of master’s thesis projects;
- To provide educational services through a short-term course program entitled “Modern Computers and Their Use” for the general public, schoolchildren, students, etc.;
- Focus student theses and master’s dissertations on the problems and challenges of IT technologies in the southern region of the Osh region and the city of Osh, taking into account scientific achievements and scientific elements;
- Determine the main areas of investment in IT and the list of IT projects and principles of their interaction.
