The Department of Business Management and Social Work originated from the Department of Management, which was established in 1997 on the basis of the Department of Economic Theory and Marketing Fundamentals. The department trained specialists in the fields of “State and Municipal Management,” “Management,” “Automotive Management,” and “Tourism and Service Management.”
In accordance with the reforms carried out by the university, the Department of Management was transformed into the Department of Public Administration and International Relations in 2005, and on September 4, 2016, by order of the rector No. 09-04/260, it was reorganized into the Department of Business Management and Social Work.
The Department of Business Management and Social Work has been nominated for the “Best Department of OshSU-2018” award. The current staff of the department consists of 11 full-time and 3 part-time professors and teachers.
