In order to improve the educational process at Osh evening faculty of the FPI, on the basis of the OTD sector, by order of the Minister of WSBT dated on June 14, 1984 No. 202, the department of “Applied Mechanics” was formed.

Main tasks and functions of the department:

1. Ensuring continuous improvement of the quality of teaching.
2. Increase the scientific and methodological level of conducting lectures, practical classes.
3. Development of working programs and teaching-methodological complexes of disciplines.
4. Discussion of research papers prepared by the members of the department and post-graduate students.
5. Organization of research work of students and their involvement in participation in scientific conferences and seminars.
6. Raising the qualification of the teaching staff.
7. Representing the interests of the staff of the department in the management structures of the University and other organizations.
8. Conducting classes, seminars, practical and laboratory classes in applied mechanics for students of various specialties.
9. Development and improvement of teaching materials for teaching students.
