The Faculty of Science and Technology of Osh Technological University is one of the basic faculties that train engineers in the following five most progressive areas in the modern world: mechanical engineering, vocational training, applied computer science, applied mathematics and computer science, interiors and equipment.
The curriculum of our faculty is made taking into account leading world experience, the requirements of manufacturing enterprises in specialized industries. Exchange programs have been developed for students with leading universities in the world. Experienced teachers and famous scientists take active part at the faculty’s life.
Our faculty is equipped with modern equipment and laboratories that allow us to gain knowledge and practical skills.

History of the faculty.
The Faculty of Natural Sciences was formed on the basis of the order of the rector dated December 23, 2003 No. 09-04/325. The faculty trains specialists with higher education in engineering specialties that meet modern labor market requirements. Currently, the faculty employs more than 60 teaching staff, including 3 doctors of science, 20 candidates of science, and associate professors. There are 955 students studying at the faculty, of which 252 are full-time students and 703 are part-time students. 123 students study on a budget basis, 832 on a contract basis.
Today, the faculty is working to strengthen the material and technical base, introduce new technologies to improve the quality of education and quality teaching staff, achieve the practical application of research work, and train specialists with a competent approach in accordance with the requirements of the time. At the modern laboratory base of the faculty, graduates who master new knowledge and technologies will in the future be able to contribute to the economic and social development of society.
Currently, the Faculty of Science and Technology is one of the leading faculties of Osh Technological University.
Purpose of training: education and training of scientific, pedagogical and production personnel with high intellectual potential, seeking to ensure the development of Kyrgyzstan in the field of applied mathematics and computer science, applied computer science, vocational training, mechanical engineering, interior design and equipment by providing quality assurance in education with a competency-based approach .
Achievements: Candidate of Physical and Mathematical Sciences Associate Professor Aldashov Mukhtarbek Kadyrbekovich is the dean of the Faculty of Natural Sciences from October 2021. The faculty trained 1 speciality, 6 profiles in 4 undergraduate areas of 5 departments and 3 in master’s programs. Meeting the requirements of the time the faculty has trained highly qualified specialists and successfully passed all areas in an independent accreditation agency of international level, by getting certificates for 5 years. With the support of the rector, each department was able to bring its scientific and technical base to the modern state. Academic mobility is well established, thanks to which students come from neighboring countries in order to obtain high-quality knowledge.

Exchange of experience:
Students of the pedagogical direction of the Natural Sciences Faculty go to practice in schools of Osh city. Engineering students combining theoretical knowledge with practice and improving their knowledge and gaining experience, are sent to such enterprises as Heat Supply, Thermal Power Plant, Kyrgyz Automotive Industry, Osh Municipal Motor Transport Enterprise.
A number of events to motivate students to be purposeful and professional, motivated to succeed, and gain experience has organized and regulated at the Natural Sciences Faculty of Osh Technological University named after M. M. Adyshev.
The Faculty of Science and Technology signs agreements and memorandums on the exchange of experience with the Andijan Engineering Institute, Fergana, Namangan Engineering and Technology Institutes, and the Namangan Engineering and Construction Institute of Uzbekistan. The teaching staff conducts guest lectures, students improve their knowledge by participating in classes through academic mobility.
Professor of the Osh Technological University named after M.M.Adyshev Talant Ryspayev visited Germany for a scientific internship at the research and production center for nanotechnology, held a meeting with students of our faculty and gave a lecture on the topic “Fundamentals of Nanotechnology.” Faculty teachers were also present at this event along with the students. The purpose of the event was to develop students’ determination, professionalism, increase efficiency and motivation to achieve success.
On September 21, 2021, the Department of Physics and Energy Engineering of our faculty entered into a cooperation agreement with the North-Eastern Federal University named after M.K. Ammosov in Russia, in the field of mechanical engineering. As part of this agreement, a 2+2 education system was established that allows students to receive a double diploma upon successful completion of the training program. According to the memorandum 60 graduates will study engineering specialties at the university for free.
OshTU has signed bilateral agreements with some universities in Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Russia, European countries, China, the USA, Turkey, etc. Students and teachers exchange programs, academic mobility under the Mevlana and Erasmus programs are being implemented. These programs allow students and teachers of our department to continue their studies at various universities for 1-2 semesters and provide the opportunity to share their experiences.
