About the Institute
The Institute of International Relations, Law, and Education aims to guarantee the quality of education based on a competency-based approach. Its mission is to train and mentor highly qualified scientific, pedagogical, social, and industrial personnel with high intellectual potential to support the development of the Kyrgyz Republic. Key areas of focus include Applied Mathematics and Informatics, Computational Linguistics, Linguistics, Vocational Training, International Relations, Social Work, and Jurisprudence.
History of the Institute
The history of the institute dates back to March 1991, when the Engineering-Pedagogical Faculty was established within the Osh Higher Technological College. The first admission of students for pedagogical and humanitarian specialties was conducted in 1991.
- September 1994: The faculty was reorganized into the “Information Technology” Faculty.
- September 2000: The Information Technology Faculty was split into two separate entities:
- Faculty of Cybernetics and Information Technologies;
- Faculty of Fundamental and Vocational Education.
- December 23, 2003: The Faculty of Fundamental and Vocational Education was renamed the “Natural-Technical Faculty.”
- July 2, 2024: Following Rector’s Order No. 09-04/404, the Natural-Technical Faculty was reorganized into the Industrial-Pedagogical Institute.
- October 7, 2025: The Industrial-Pedagogical Institute was renamed the Institute of International Relations, Law, and Education.
Over its 34-year history, the institute has produced approximately 20,000 specialists across fields such as Applied Mathematics, Informatics, Vocational Education, Social Work, International Relations, Business Administration, Law, and Linguistics.
The Institute Today
The institute comprises four departments staffed by more than 40 employees, including:
- 3 Doctors of Sciences (Professors);
- 13 Candidates of Sciences (Associate Professors);
- 20 Master’s degree holders.
Currently, research activities focused on educational quality, regional socio-economic development, and industrial technology are carried out by 4 Doctoral students, 12 Postgraduates, and 10 PhD candidates.

To ensure the training of competitive specialists, the institute maintains and strengthens robust partnerships with regional employers and leading higher education institutions both within Kyrgyzstan and abroad.
