History of the Institute

The Institute of International Relations, Law, and Education was established by the order of the Rector dated October 7, 2025 (No. 383-ӨБ).
The institute provides higher education and professional training in engineering, pedagogy, and social sciences, aligned with the modern demands of the labor market.

Currently, the institute employs over 40 faculty members, including 4 Doctors of Science, 7 Candidates of Science, and associate professors.
A total of 872 students are enrolled, of whom 336 study full-time and 536 part-time. Among them, 194 study on a state-funded basis, while 678 are enrolled under tuition contracts.

Today, the institute is actively strengthening its material and technical base, introducing new technologies to improve teaching quality, enhancing its academic staff, applying research results in practice, organizing student-based production activities, and preparing highly competent professionals to meet the challenges of modern society.With its modern laboratory facilities, graduates mastering new knowledge and technologies will be able to contribute significantly to the economic and social development of the country.

At present, the Institute of International Relations, Law, and Education is one of the leading institutes of Osh Technological University.

Educational Objective

The main goal of the institute is to educate and train scientific, pedagogical, social, and industrial professionals with a high intellectual potential, who will contribute to the development of the Kyrgyz Republic in the fields of applied mathematics and informatics, computational linguistics, linguistics, professional education, social work, international relations, business management, and law. The institute ensures quality education based on a competency-based approach.

Achievements

The institute comprises four departments, offering eight undergraduate programs and three master’s programs. In line with current global and national standards, the institute has trained highly qualified specialists and successfully passed all areas of international-level independent accreditation, obtaining five-year certificates.

With the support of the Rector, each department has modernized its scientific and technical base to meet contemporary standards.
Academic mobility has been established at a high level, attracting students from neighboring countries seeking quality education.

Departments

Exchange of Experience

Students of pedagogical programs at the Institute of International Relations, Law, and Education undertake internships at schools in the city of Osh.
Students of engineering disciplines combine theoretical knowledge with practical training, enhancing their skills and gaining experience at enterprises such as “Teplosnabzhenie” (Heat Supply), the Thermal Power Plant (TPP), Kyrgyz Automobile Manufacturing, and the Osh Municipal Transport Enterprise.
Meanwhile, students majoring in Social Work, Law, and International Relations complete internships at social sector institutions.

The institute actively organizes various events to motivate students toward goal orientation, professionalism, success, and experience acquisition.

The Institute of International Relations, Law, and Education has signed agreements and memorandums of cooperation on experience exchange with several universities in the Russian Federation, the People’s Republic of China, the Republic of Korea, and Uzbekistan.
Instute members deliver guest lectures, while students enhance their knowledge through academic mobility programs.

Osh Technological University has also established bilateral agreements with universities in Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Russia, European countries, China, the USA, Turkey, and others.

Through international programs such as “Mevlana” and “Erasmus,” student and faculty exchange initiatives are actively implemented.
These programs allow participants from the institute to study at partner universities for 1–2 semesters and share their experience with colleagues upon return.
