Osh Technological University hosted a high-level scientific-practical forum titled “Ecology and Sustainable Development,” organized by the Institute of Technology and Environmental Management. The event brought together the university administration, faculty members, students, as well as representatives of government agencies and non-governmental organizations.
The forum was opened by the Rector of OshTU, Professor Janbolot Tursunbaev, who spoke about the ecological activities and scientific research carried out at the university. He also presented information on OshTU’s strategic concept for environmentally sustainable development and climate adaptation.
During the scientific session, the following presentations were delivered:

Turgunova Gulhumor (Uzbekistan) – “Forest-Melioration Activities in the Aral Sea Region”
An interactive quiz on ecology, climate, and sustainable development was held among students. Based on the total scores, the winners were determined.
As part of the forum, the best video clips, posters, and student projects were showcased and evaluated by the jury. At the end of the event, certificates were awarded to the winners of the quiz and the authors of the best projects.
Additionally, the results of competitive activities held over the past month were summarized, and the winners were recognized.
The forum became an important event aimed at expanding knowledge in the fields of ecology and sustainable development, fostering the scientific and creative potential of students, and enhancing their civic engagement.
